Ukraine continues to face a shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles, Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat says, partly due to fighting in the Middle East. He said some countries are reluctant to share their stocks, but noted that four ballistic missile interceptions today demonstrate that Ukraine is still receiving support. Ihnat said Ukraine and its partners are also working on solutions against both jet-powered UAVs and ballistic missiles.

From early 2027, the European Commission plans to integrate commercial satellite capacity into GOVSATCOM, including to meet Ukrainian needs. Since January 2026, GOVSATCOM has pooled government satellite capacity to provide secure communications. The EU also plans to make its IRIS² satellite constellation fully operational in 2029, but it remains unclear whether interim options can fully replace Starshield.

Zelensky told Piers Morgan that Ukraine feels betrayed by recent developments and believes it is losing the United States as a strong partner. Asked directly whether Ukraine was losing America, Zelensky replied: “Yes, but not because of us. We cannot be weak. Otherwise, we will not survive.”
